Welcome Dear Parents,

Welcome to St. Joseph School's website! As you peruse the pages of this site, I hope that you will gain more than factual information regarding questions you may have about our school. I hope that you will experience the sense of Christian community that makes St. Joseph School so special.

Our Mission Statement clearly expresses our commitment to educating students in a school climate that is identifiably Catholic. The religious formation of students, the teaching of gospel values and virtues, and an emphasis on service to others, are just some of the aspects of Catholic identity that St. Joseph School parents have come to expect for their children. The faculty and staff strive to make St. Joseph School a positive, joyful, Christ-centered learning environment, where students learn to appreciate and cherish their faith. When the Daughters of Charity opened this school in 1962, their mission was to offer students a Catholic education, strong in academics and founded on Christian values. St. Joseph School has remained true to this mission and has continued to flourish.

We are committed to educating the whole child, helping students to achieve their full potential in all areas, and teaching them the importance of good character as well as good grades. Throughout its history St. Joseph School has been blessed with extraordinary teachers. Religious and laity alike, the faculty has consisted of hard working, dedicated men and women determined to offer their students the best of Catholic education. The talented faculty, along with supportive pastors, administrators, staff and involved parents, has earned us a well-deserved reputation for excellence in Catholic education, and we are all very proud of that reputation.

In addition to our wonderful staff, we have also been blessed with energetic, loyal, diligent parents, whose dedication to our students remains one of St. Joseph School's greatest assets. The partnership between parents and teachers, home and school, contributes greatly to the overall success of our students. Parental involvement is not only welcomed, but also strongly encouraged, because ultimately it is our students who are the beneficiaries of strong ties between parents and school.

All of these things have helped make St. Joseph School a genuine community, where Faith and Family really do come first. We begin each day by praying together, always mindful of the many blessings that God has bestowed on our school. Our goal continues to be the education of children to become successful, productive citizens of the world, who recognize the importance of strong moral values, family, community and a strong faith in God. As long as we maintain this vision of Catholic education, St. Joseph School will continue to thrive!
