What is Advancement?

Advancement is the set of programs, events and efforts, including outreach to alumni, that advance the mission of the school.

Advancement supports our students in many ways. Proceeds from The Gala, the golf tournament and other Advancement efforts are used to enhance the education and enrich the lives of students at St. Joseph School. Since 2011, these efforts have provided:

  • Purchase, installation and implemention of SMART Board Technology
  • Professional development for teachers in the Wilson Reading Program combined with professional coaching and daily implementation in the classroom
  • Implementation of the Guided Reading Program, including the purchase of hundreds of leveled readers for students K - 6 to supply a Literacy Closet
  • Purchase of Curriculum Mapper (software) to organize and align curriculum maps for all content areas, and coaching and professional development for teachers
  • Funding of equipment and materials for The Learning Center, which services students with particular learing challenges and who may require additional support at any time in their academic career
  • Funding of Enrichment Programs to enhance the curriculum including areas of Math, Music, Science and Social Studies
  • Purchase of laptop and desktop computers and improvements made to technology infrastructure
  • Expansion of Early Childhood Program servicing students from Ages 3 - 5

We are very blessed to have the support of not only the parents of our students, but the Parish, the Holbrook community, family, alumni and other generous donors to our school. Your support of advancement programs and events directly benefits the children and the future of St. Joseph School.

If you have time, talent or treasure to offer, please get in touch to find out how you can get involved with our upcoming advancement efforts!
