A Message from the SJS Nurses

The warm weather is finally arriving and this means...

  • Your children will be extra thirsty.  Please send them to school EVERYDAY with a water bottle.  Refillables are most economical and may be refilled at the water fountain.
  • On sunny days, if you want your children protected from the sun’s rays, please apply sunscreen each morning before school.
  • Grass, leaves and trees are blooming.  If your child has seasonal allergies, please treat them with their medication as soon as symptoms begin.  If your child has a runny nose, watery eyes, and scratchy throat, check with your doctor to see if an allergy medicine (Zyrtec, Claritin, etc) might help them.
  • Ticks and mosquitos will be out soon.  Please protect your children with insect repellant, especially when they are out in the evening with after school and evening sports.
